Our Disaster Response program provides an avenue for the public to help with relief and recovery efforts after a catastrophic event. Following a local emergency or regional disaster, we work with:
- Volunteers (typically those not previously affiliated with an activated agency, such as the American Red Cross)
- Nonprofit organizations in Contra Costa & Alameda Counties
- Cities & Municipalities
- Contra Costa County
Our goal is to match community members who emerge and want to help with recovery efforts to the nonprofit organizations and public agencies that need help. Depending upon the resources available to us following a local disaster, we’ll share that information via the Internet, telephone and/or our website. Please call (925) 472-5768 or contact us by email if you have questions or would like more information.
There is more information about how to help here: Disaster Network Volunteer! In an actual disaster, our site should have specific information.
