Yet, learning how to recruit, manage and motivate people is difficult to pick up on one’s own. Join us at our training for nonprofit volunteer managers. We can help you gain the skills and resources you need to build and maintain volunteer support. We offer trainings in Oakland,  and Walnut Creek .

Registration and advance payment are required for every session. Please call Jo Loss at (925) 472-5760 or contact us by email if you have questions.

Donate Now

On behalf of the 600 nonprofits and thousands of volunteers The Volunteer Center matched this year, we invite you to make a donation to our good work. Your contribution helps us to make the essential connections between people like you, who care about your community, volunteers who seek to serve, and nonprofits that deliver critical services.

Since 1956, we have been making this valued connection—serving volunteers and nonprofits alike.

Nonprofits need the Volunteer Center to connect them with volunteers seeking a way to contribute.

Volunteers need the Volunteer Center to provide an easy and efficient way to find the right opportunity to serve.

Your donation helps to improve the lives of East Bay community members in a tangible way with volunteers who help to feed the hungry, teach at-risk children to read, provide care to seniors  and more.
